Vitamin A

Some types of cancer such as lung cancer, gastric cancer will not considerably reduce the risk if the diet is deficient in beta carotene. That is because beta carotene reduces cancer markers in the development cycle of this type of cancer. Moreover, it also reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease.

You can choose food of high β – carotene content from vegetables especially green and yellow ones, or orange fruits such as carrots and spinach, lettuce, potatoes, sweet potatoes, broccoli…

Along with vitamin A and beta carotene, vitamin C is also very beneficial to the eyes. This antioxidant slows down the progression of cataract and improves vision. Foods rich in vitamin C to mention are cherry, followed by guava, peppers, persimmon, broccoli, strawberry, orange, kale, cauliflower and kiwi.
