Here is the list of some tips to avoid acne:

  1. Keep your face clean:

Skin care products have recently becoming popular. You can easily catch an advise from any beauty blogger that cleansing is the most basic step for a flawless skin and you should not skip it. You should wash your face twice per day to remove impurities, dead skin cells and extra oil from surface of your skin.

It is not too difficult to find a cleanser specially formulated for acne. These products can help you clear acne sores due to the salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide.

Remember to gently wash your face with your clean hand or a very clean soft cloth instead of harshly scrubbing with a washcloth, exfoliating glove or loofah. By this way, you can avoid to cause the acne breakouts as it may worsen the acne or result in scarring.

  1. Use makeup sparingly

If you have the acne breakouts, you should avoid use too much cosmetics, including foundation, powder, or blush. If you really need to wear make-up, try not to wear heavy makeup as it will block your pores, which leads to a flare-up of acne. Wash the makeup off at the end of the day. Try to use oil-free cosmetics, especially the foundation, without added dyes and chemicals. Find the products labeled as “noncomedogenic”.

Note that you should cautiously read the ingredients list on the product label. If you have any symptom of allergy, immediately stop using that product. Even if a majority of users have compliments on the product, you can still have an allergic reaction to one of its ingredients. Do not keep using it only because of your money spending on it.

  1. Keep your hands off your face

You should not touch your face or prop your cheek or chin on you hands, especially when acne occurs. Not only can you spread bacteria, you can also irritate the already inflamed facial skin. Never pick or pop pimples with your fingers, it only makes everything worse since it will lead to infection and even scarring.

  1. Do daily exercises

Regular exercise is good for your whole body, not excluding your skin. When you exercise, avoid wearing clothing or using exercise equipment that rubs your skin and may cause irritation. Shower or bathe 3-5 minutes after exercise.

Exercises can also help you reduce stress which have been studied to cause severity of pimples or acne. If you do not want to destress by exercises, find your own solutions to avoid what makes you feel stressed.
