– Erectile dysfunction.
Risk factors for prostate cancer
– Race: Figures have shown that black men are about 60 percent more likely to suffer from prostate cancer during their life time compared to other races. Among patients, the condition of the male men are more aggressive or advanced than others.
– Age: The cancer of prostate mainly affect those men whose age is over 50, and your risk grows with age. Only one in 10,000 men under age 40 is diagnosed with this disease, meanwhile, one in 15 men in their 60s will be suffered from it.
If men in your family have experienced prostate cancer, your risk of developing this disease can be higher.
- Body weight
Obesity and overweight are considered as other risk factor of the cancer of prostate. According to some researchers, having excessive body weight can increase your risk of being involved with prostate cancer. That’s why you are always suggested to maintain a healthy weight.
– Diet: A diet which is high in fat may contribute to the increasing risk of the cancer of prostate. Compared to countries in which daily meals are full of saturated fat, countries with the basic diets are mainly rice, soybean products, and vegetables have a lower rate of prostate cancer.
– High testosterone levels: Research also points out that those who use testosterone therapy tend to face a higher risk of developing this disease because increase in testosterone stimulates the growth of the prostate gland.
